Pits in the news and info on Breed Specific Legislation.

Postby WolfMoon » February 2nd, 2011, 10:34 am

After 6 months of fighting with Sterling Heights on going breed specific after two attacks in the span of a month, we finally gained a foothold at the end of last year and into this new year. Last night, they introduced the first reading of the possible new dog ordinance, with a few tweaks that will be introduced at the next city council meeting. This new ordinance contains NO breed specific language.

This is a big break through for ALL of the residents who were there fighting along side of us outsiders and they deserve most of the credit since it's their city and the future of their dogs they're fighting for. So, a major way to go for Sterling Heights for working to go breed neutral and set aside the horrific acts that occurred!
