Hoping this hasnt been posted previously. I learned about this after I had adopted my boy Fergus, got him from KC MO though. In the county I live in they do not allow county run shelters to adopt out pitbull breeds. They are given a temperament test and if deemed safe they are sent to a neighboring county for adoption. This has come under fire before in 2009 and again in 2010 as a high percentage of the dogs tested dont pass and are euthanized. A judge ruled in 2009 that this was not a form of BSL and it continues.
