http://www.pawsct.org/shownews.php?article=6

Move over "Antiques Roadshow"! If you are a fan of the popular PBS show you can now experience for yourself the suspense & excitement of finding out if your old piggy bank is worth millions or maybe just worth the $12.30 in change that is inside it!

Red Rose Consignments at One Danbury Road in Wilton, CT (Phone: 203-761-0383) will be holding its very own "Antiques Appraisal Day" to benefit PAWS.

The event will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2006 from 12:00 pm until 4:30 pm. Just bring in any one (1) item to have it appraised by a licensed appraiser. A minimum donation for the appraisal of $20 per item is requested. Due to space limitations please only bring one item per person please.

The appraiser for the event will be Peter Curran from Wilton, who has appeared on Antiques Roadshow on PBS. In this unique fundraiser, Red Rose Consignments will donate the entire appraisal fee to PAWS to assist us in of efforts to care for & rehome homeless animals. Donation checks can be made out to "PAWS" or the "Pet Animal Welfare Society."

Red Rose Consignments will also generously donate to PAWS 5% of sale proceeds from the store for the day.

You never know - maybe that giant pink elephant gathering dust in your garage is worth a fortune! You’ll never know unless you come on down!

Hope to see you (and your treasures) on 10/22!
