more info on him:
Here is what I know. You can tell John I forwarded the message if you
want to call him.
Hi Everyone,
A bulletin was posted through Staffordshire Bull Terrier club that a 2
year old male Staffy was in a high kill shelter in Southern New Jersey,
and had run out of time. He was given a very rigorous temperament
evaluation (he was pulled at, poked, pushed and prodded relentlessly,
and food was taken away from him) and "passed with flying colors."
My friend Tony George and I drove down Monday, and he is not a
Staffy, he's an American Pit Bull Terrier, a very sweet dog, and he is
probably only one year old. He was abandoned by his family and was
roaming the streets when picked up.
Glenna and I decided to give him a chance, and we are now fostering
him. I've been with him a day, and he goes to the bathroom
outside, but could learn some manners. He objects when we put him in
the crate (puts the brakes on), but doesn't complain once he's in
there.
He doesn't look for fights with other dogs, but that could always
change, especially in a young dog. He really is a beautiful dog, he's
only about 40 pounds, has a tall, athletic build and is red with white
markings and a mostly white face. He's a very happy dog and loves to
meet people. He's been castrated and has all his shots.
