Woody

Postby jmashaney » July 22nd, 2009, 4:57 pm

Recently we were contacted about acting as a foster home for a three-month-old brindle male pup of questionable heritage. A few days after moving in, Paul noticed Woody was lethargic and had diarrhea...diagnosed with, yup, parvo. He's recovered well, and in a couple weeks will be up for adoption!

Any ideas on his parentage?

I've never dealt with Parvo before, so I was relieved that everything turned out ok. I was actually in Texas when Paul called to tell me. :(

The rescue organization had named him Mr. Kenwood, because that's the street he was found on. We changed it to Woody because of the wood grain look he's rockin.

Woody has found his (hopefully) forever home! This weekend, we placed him in a fantastic home where he gets to go to work with his dad every day! We've pointed Adam toward this website, so if he pops in, give him a big HOWDY!

And of course, 48 hours later, the rescue organization we're working with calls me again..."So, how do you guys feel about fostering a seven-month-old blue bully boy?"

So, yeah, of course, meeting him Saturday after his little operation.

Just a neat update on Woody:

His new dad called and was looking for a place to board him while he went out of town for a wedding, so we said we'd dog-sit him.

It was AMAZING seeing the two of them together when Adam dropped Woody off. They were SO bonded. Feels great when things work out!
