lindsey clouse and lindseys dogs

Postby carrieinindy » February 4th, 2010, 11:01 am

Hi-

I found a thread regarding this person and google. I was wanting some advice as it appeared that the thread involved a rescue group's dog, Renee. The reason I am writing is that this woman is currently in the Indy area. She works at a local Menards and has 47 counts of animal related cruelty charges and outstanding warrants for her arrest in Columbus, Ohio for the allegations in March of 2007. I am furious! She is active on FB and won the dog days of summer vidoe contest (second place)-I contacted the ASPCA last Friday 3 times via phone and once via email-no response. I sent an email to Pet-abuse.com so that they could update their profile-I included the link from WSYX ABC 6 from last weeks news to update-no response. She is working with Love on A Leash-actually visits a juvenile Correctional facility (according to her website) weekly and is active with Luv a Dog rescue-how does someone like this flee one city and pick up in the next? I am looking for not only help but advice in regards to this situation. I am disgusted by her choices and by her deceit. Her is the link for the video:

If you google her name, you can find the site with the outstanding warrants on the list of wanted people. Please offer any and all advice-please feel free to check out my links as well to verify anything. Thank you for your time!

If she has outstanding warrants, call your local police department and they will arrest her.

No they won't because Ohio won't extradite - she's only wanted for misdemeanors.

Woman in Indiana Wanted for Animal Abuse in Ohio

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Franklin County Animal Control and the Columbus City Prosecutor are checking on the animal rescue and training activities of a woman charged with abuse in Columbus.

Lindsey Clouse now lives in Indianapolis and has a Web site that shows her rescuing, raising and training dogs. But she's on the Web site for the Columbus City Attorney’s Office as a wanted person people for the mess she left behind when she did the same thing here.

She faces four dozen charges, including:

• Cruelty to animals
• Abandoning animals
• Noisy animals
• Rabies quarantine
• Confining vicious dogs
• Dog registration

While there’s a warrant out for her arrest, Columbus Police can't cross state lines to arrest her because the charges are all misdemeanors.

Have you tried telling the rescue group directly and providing proof? They may have NO clue and would really appreciate knowing this information.

I just sent an email to the rescue group. It's the group I used to be involved in. I'm the one who went and re-rescued Renee when animal control had confiscated her.

Whoa, cruelty isn't a felony? Or do the cruelty statutes have special circumstances to make it a felony and she didn't meet those circumstances?

I'm not sure what level of cruelty has to be present before it can be a felony.

I called and spoke with someone (Christina) at Luv a Dog this morning and she , quite honestly, didn't seem to believe me. I asked that she google Lindseys name and look for the post under Outstanding warrants and to watch the video. I still need to contact love on a leash and am contemplating calling the Pendleton Correctional Institue that she reports to visit weekly.

My understanding is that, yes, the charges are not felonies and she can not be extradited but if enough attention is drawn to her and to the case, she could opt to go back to Ohio. My goal is to see her do that.....

Now, I need to post to the ASPCA website where she won their dog days of summer vidoe contest (second place) and they have ignored my multiple requests to remove her video! The video in question can be accessed via facebook....

Thanks!!!!!

That was disgusting, and extremely sad. I guess you don't have to have any type of background checks to work with animals?
I used to think I was indecisive, but now I'm not so sure....
