too bad the handy sewing folks here couldnt do a patch quilt and sell it on ebay or something. like a patch from all the different states and the different breeds we have in our rescues....that might bring in some cash for emergancies . i know my aunt made a patch quilt with all things from alaska and some guy offered her $5000.00 for it.

Some rescues are already doing this. I belong to a pitbull newsgroup and there have been a couple of postings on there from a member who volunteers at the rescue. It has been a pretty good money maker for them, not $5000, but several hundred if I recall correctly.
