Hi my name is Max and my rednose brindle pit/lab mutt's name is Harlow. she was a rescue dog. I adopted her about 18 months ago. She has come a long way. Originally she would not let any males near her ( with the exception of me) she is now a little more comfortable and trusting. We did an obediance training class and that definetly helped. She listens very well for the most part. my neighbors have a blue nose pure bred and that is Harlows best friend. They are moving this week!!! I know its just a coinsidence, but she has been acting a little funny. She comes to work with me every day. I let her walk around my little office but she always just stays in her open crate behind my desk. If i walk to the copy machine she follows. Anways, she has been a bit more agressive recently. She always barks and growels at guys she doesnt know doesnt/ like but its has been a bit more intense the past week or two.
Ok, so on a seperate note, i have been thinking of adopting a second rescue. Harlow and I went to the local pound and we may have found a great match. We found a male brindle blue nose. Harlow is fixed and the male would also be if he were to be adopted. he is about 8 months old. Very affectionate and friendly. They also played very well toegher. He submitted to her and laid on his back and just let her feel him out. So i guess thats good. I guess im just a little confused. I can afford another dog; I just dont know if its a good idea. But i think it would be fun; and Harlow would definetly like the company.

Awwwww another Harlow! This is the first time I've met another one.

Another dog could help Harlow come out of her shell, or it could end up being a disaster and they would hate each other-- not especially likely since they met already and it seemed to go well, but you never know.
We have two, and have never had any real problems with them. I am actually still really glad we adopted Harlow because she and Degan entertain themselves when we can't.

And also, We love pictures here.
And before you get approved... where do you live Max? How old are you? Have you always been around pit bulls or was Harlow your first experience??

So im from New Haven CT. Im 24. i have always been around pitbulls. My parents had a a pitbull growing up (Roxie) that they still have. She is not very animal friendly but she tolerates Harlow. Also, my roommate after college had a pit too his name is Capone. About 6 months after buying my house is when i adopted Harlow.
