Just found out about this site and so far I really like it. I own a 1 year old mutt named Ally. Her mom was a pit/lab mix and when she had her litter of 9 at the humane society 3 looked like labs, 1 like a boxer, 1 like a Jack Russell Terrier (still weighs 20 lbs.) and the rest like the mother. I got her when she was 6 months old to accompany my girlfriends 7 lb. Min Pin. She is one of the first big dogs I have ever met that got along well with Meadow, the Min Pin. The little one will pull her ears, bite her tail, etc. to get her to play, but she just lays there. When the dogs are in the apartment by themselves Meadow rules, but if we are watching other dogs Ally rules.

The best thing is if we are at the dog park and a dog starts to pick on Meadow, Ally will defend her, and bring the dogs attention to her and off Meadow.

I heard about this site on VWVortex, in the Communities forum under pets. There was a story of a man with a pit which attacked a little dog and the old woman was taking him to court. Someone posted up this site for info.

I wasn't really ever interested in the breed until I saw Ally at a Petsmart during a pet adoption fair for the local humane society.
