I have one dog named Shea Stadium AKA Shea Dog, whom I rescued from Canastota Humane Society when he was 5 months old. He is going to be 5 in February! He is a mystery mutt... likely GSD, Doberman, ? Shea had severe separation anxiety throughout his adolescence and with tons of patience and behavior modification, he is 100% cured. He has learned (also through lots of training) to tolerate cats as well even though he has a medium prey drive (we have 3 cats!) Shea does not have great manners with other dogs and exhibits recourse guarding and anxiety with other canines. Because of this, we have not opted to adopt a second dog (although I dream night and day of owning a beautiful brindle pittie girl <3...one day...). He does have a few doggy friends after we have done numerous slow introductions with them. We have play dates under a careful eye and do not allow play to escalate and we keep all toys/high value items put away. Shea loves swimming, going for long hikes and playing fetch in our fenced-in backyard. His favorite foods include peanut butter, cooked cabbage (weird, i know!), and raw carrots. Shea is very patient with children and loves to show off his obedience commands.
