WELL HERE IS A PLACE I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD BE.
ASKING FOR HELP AND OR GUIDANCE FROM ANYONE.

I have had 2 dogs for a long time. Buddy is a Akita Shepard Mix and 110 lbs and 11 years old
and my Emmy Sue is a sturdy 8 year old pit/boxer mix at 55lbs.

Well Emmy decided Buddy was not going to jump on the sink and sniff in the clean out the fridge trash bag and it was on.
I used my arm to separate and had help from my grown daughter with a leash.
Now my question is --- will this event be more likely to occur since it has happened once.
It was way scary and no one got hurt.
We have been keeping Emmy down stairs when they are alone.
Was I dumb all these years for leaving her and Buddy alone anyway?
Have called the vet...he has us giving her a sedative..
Ok come on you guys helppppp
