Hi our name is Pete and Katie and we have 5 dogs that we have all rescued and 1 of them is a pitbull Annabelle. Like so many of the posts we have an aggression issue with Annabelle toward our newest boxer rescue Buddy. They have had 3 fights already very similar to what others have described. I am already going to start today and C&R(crate and rotate). My question is I think the pitbull Annabelle is the one who should be crated to separate them? Anyone want to elaborate? Is this a life long process we will have to do? I agree with so many of the posts here and the aggression that comes out is incredible(she was able to kill a raccoon 1 night!) Its a pleasure to meet you all and thank you for your help.

We usually advise that ALL dogs get separated when not being supervised just for the sake of safety. While you're there though, it does sound as though Annabelle should be the one separated. Have you considered getting a trainer in? You might be able to help them live together peacefully while supervised with some good training. You'd want to make sure you find a trainer who is force-free as using force to "treat" aggression can backfire. If you tell us what area you are in, maybe we can recommend somebody. :)
