Ellie, you were really smart to take Milo out. Not exactly the positive learning experience you're looking for. Jackson is mentally stronger than Soleil, some I'm not surprised he was able to keep his head in it.
One of my goals for next year is to not put Soleil on crappy tracks, to be willing to go to a pull and not pull, or withdraw early if conditions suck. I'm so damn competitive, that I've been unfair to my dog as a result. I can't tell you how much I regret pulling her in MA this year, both days.

Yep,neither I was happy on the MA weekend...
Now on, if I go to a WP,I'll e-mail-call them about the track and conditions,before the pulls.
It's not worth it to drive,get a motel room,pay for entry fees etc if the track is crappy,and the dogs get bad experiences from it.
