UKC Locke NY May Shows?

For those of us that show or want to show our dogs.

Postby StalkerBlueDog » April 29th, 2009, 5:59 pm

Anyone going to the Locke NY shows May 8,9,10th?

Dawn is going to be looking awful since she's blowing coat but I'm thinking about taking Kaylee and the puppies since they have free 3-6 month puppy classes each show.

Just wondering if any of you wonderful pit people will be coming as well. It's a really nice show. There were people from Texas and Michigan there last year!

Well we did make it to the Locke NY UKC shows today.. and we're going the rest of the weekend too.

Even though it rained and soaked my aussie pup Kaylee and made her look all wet and uneven she still took her first 25 pts with a Best Female win.

And I stuck around to toss the puppies in the "all breed puppy show" that they do for free for 3-6 month old puppies after Best in Show. My 14 week old sheltie puppies Luke and Leia both came along and Leia once again beat her brother and a couple other nice puppies going "Best Puppy" under sheltie/dachshund breeder Teri Frenia.

We went again today. There were about 100 more dogs entered today then yesterday! It was the biggest entry they've had to date doing these shows.

There was a nice Aussie bitch entry with bitches in 3 out of the 4 bitch classes. For the first show my girl Kaylee went from the puppy class to take Reserve Winners Female the first show, and Winners Female the second show. I think that brings her up to 60 pts.

I put the puppies in the all breed 3-6 month puppy show again today, and with an entry just over double yesterday's entry Luke went Best Puppy this time.

We had a great time, except for the down pour right at the end.. which of course stopped just in time for me to be soaked to the bone and have everything packed up (of course..lol)

There was a beautiful pit bitch that did some nice winning this weekend.. I just couldn't take my eyes off her. She was very stunning. I'll have to find out who she was...
