Those collars are gorgeous! I just ordered a collar from there (yellow on black, 4 ply, 1.5") and I'm really excited to get it!

Are those leather ones you posted pics of 1.5 or 2 inches? I'm guessing 2...?

I think you're guessing correctly, since the overlay is an inch...

That's kinda what I figured, but thought it was worth an ask! 2" collars are too big for Inara, so I was hoping he'd say 1.5". lol

The collars pictured are 2"

I will have some 1.5" in 2-ply very soon.

I don't think the overlay would work good in 1.5, considering the thickness of my collars. I could do it, but thickness would be very thin and not very durable, in my opinion.

I just can't bring myself to produce things that I would not use myself. I like very basic, but BOLD collars for my dogs. I like the Noble or Regal look, as opposed to a gawdy look.

If you have anything in mind, you can email me. I am always open to new ideas.

Thanks,

Shane

I got my collar in earlier this week, and I just want to say that it is soooo sturdy! I feel very safe using it on Inara. And ya can't beat the price! I'll try to get some good pics of it. :)

You actually start with cow hide like in that photo? Then what do you do with it?

No the Leather for collars comes from tannery. I get all mine from Weaver Leather. The Cow Hide is for play toys/tugs and such. Cow Hide comes from local butcher, and I salt cure it.

:greenWave: Mickey got one from Caroline (his other sister) as a present... finally uploaded the pics!

These collars are very heavy-duty and the craftsmanship is excellent. Service was very fast as well.

Oh Christine that looks fabulous on him! And he seems to love it, too! Inara said, "hey there stud, wanna get together and compare collars?" Hers is the yellow and black one Shane posted a pic of a little higher.

I'm a fan of Shane's work,we have multiple collars from her and a great harness as well.
Now seeing the new stuff I'm sure we'll have even more.... :rolleyes2:
Shane can you make a small harness? In a couple of months I'll need a new one for my pup,but he's small.
