Poor Ashley :-( (Don't look, Purple!)

Oh... no, no, no! Demand something stronger, Yvette! I have a very high pain tolerance myself and don't believe in over-medicating kids at all... but she needs something stronger for at least a couple of days! I swear to you - I had a break and several fractures... the fractures HURT!!!
I hope they can find her x-rays... such dumb-asses... :cry:

it don't TRUST ME!! Poor kid. You might want to try the arthitis strength Ecotrin or Excedrin. It may upset her tummy so make her eat first.

Well the doctors office called, said her xray showed she had no fracture but Jeff thinks they should have done a few diff. views and is betting they didn't.
Dr. said if it's not much better next week to bring her in and they'll do new xrays...sigh...
She went off to school today and refused pain meds but I'm betting it hurts when she comes home!

Doesn't swelling sometimes make a hairline fracture hard to see on an x-ray?

I think so. Our doctor did not have alot of confidence in the Urgent care's ability to correctly diagnose this...!

It most definitely does... I was misdiagnosed at the ER, and after bitching and moaning for a week (from pain and frustration) I had another x-ray taken, and - lo and behold - a hairline fracture showed up.

Our doctor did not have alot of confidence in the Urgent care's ability to correctly diagnose this...!

So - why isn't he ordering another set of x-rays ASAP???

I don't know. Was your foot swollen the entire time?? Or did the swelling subside some? Her foot is horribly bruised...

My foot was swollen and bruised... and HURT! After a week I got stabbing pains when I tried to walk... the bruise itself took forever to go away. Is the swelling still as bad or worse? How's the pain?

It's slightly less, but it's now on one side of her foot more than the other, so it's kinda changed. I'll see if I can get a pic of it later.

She hobbled off to school. I'll check it when she gets home I guess.
I'm really contemplating calling and asking the doctor to order new xrays just in case...I'm concerned about her, down the line, if it's a fracture, it could possibly make her foot messed up later??

Her foot is really pretty

All diff. colors!!
But she's walking w/no crutches and just the cast! Yay! Much of the swelling has gone away, I think it is just a bruise at this point! We'll see how it is next week...
