Syd's Dedication Ceremony (pics)

We had Sydney's Unitarian Universalist Dedication Ceremony on Sunday. She wore her great-grandmother's 94 year old Christening Gown.

I'm kind of bummed. I brought both of my cameras hoping to have somebody take decent pictures. I told Nathan to find volunteers in the fellowship while I was dealing with Sydney, but he apparently didn't, and suddenly it was time to begin. He quickly handed my point and shoot camera to his father, so I got a couple of pictures of the ceremony. I have a terrible Elvis sneer on my face in all of the pictures. I got the closeup picture of her napping in the gown with my phone.

that gown is stunning. It's great when you can use a family heirloom for occasions like this.

Syd looks just like a china doll in that last photo. And the gown, oh so beautiful.
