Joyce, what a difference! He's learning how to be a dog again! Great job. :)

I KNOW! I can't believe what a difference in his whole demeanor and attitude.

He went to the Vet for a recheck on his leg rash and there is hair growing on it already. :)

I wish I could take all the credit, but all of your advice really helped him. And a special thanks to Dee for sending me that link on letting him slowly adjust.

Thanks - I am getting to like him more and he isn't even a LABRADOR!

Today I "taught him" how to chew on a marrow bone. He just layed on his chubba butt and watched it for awhile. Then he stood up and tried to figure it out. :crazy2: So, being the gracious hostess, I held it for him until he got the hang of it.

His face in the 2nd one is silly - "what, you expect me to touch RAW MEAT????"

And where is your hand protection, dear?

I couldn't hold the camera and the bone with gloves, so I figured if he bit me I would at least have a photo to share with PBT.

ACK! He looks so happy at your house, Joyce, you are Astro's angel!

Thank you, both. :) He is getting to know our routine and while I still don't allow him to have the run of the house, like the others, he enjoys stretching out in the dog den.

I noticed when he runs now, he stretches his front legs out, sort of like they do when they are in the fancy dog shows. When he first arrived, it was more like a "galump" kind of a gait.
