Photos of my chinchillas, for axious board members

If it's a non-human, non-Pit Bull, family member, post it here!

So I promised a certain member that I would post photos of my chinchillas ( ) so here are a few of them:

This pretty lady is one of our standard females, a big girl named Pandora:

Here's a tan white girly, my husband's pride and joy, Ophelia (she was born in November):

This funny little guy is Xenophilius, he was born in February. Hubby calls him his "baby boy":

And here's our old man, Darius, who will be 12 in September:

And just a few more (I'll never be able to post photos of them all!):

This handsome boy is Darius' son Caleb, I am very proud of him (this is an old photo):

And Sidonie, a mosaic female. She was champion white female at the last show she was entered in:

Phédre, another mosaic female, she's a grumpy girl:

Phédre's mate, Imriel, a violet male:

And my baby girl, Sacré, whom I handfed last year to save. She's a white violet:

You have a beautiful little chinchilla family. Kinda look like a cross between a rabbit and a rat :|

So cute! They've got ridiculously soft coats, right? One of my old friends had one but I guess it was mean and nobody could touch it. :(

Yes their coats are extremely soft.
It isn't uncommon for chins that aren't handled much to be standoffish or even a bit mean. A few of mine (none of the ones pictured) can be that way.
All of mine get handled regularly, even the ones that don't like it much. Makes for friendlier chins and therefore better pets. :)
