Seth just cracked me up being the "lead horse".
He just stays with you the whole time and doesn't stray?
I felt like I was on Cairo! He was so alert with his ears.
Maybe you can strap the camera to your headgear next time.
Seth is pretty good when we're on trails. I have a harder time keeping him in check when we're on the road but I can make him heel, or sit if I need him to. He usually leads but once he's burned off a lot of his energy he will fall behind. It's weird because he listens better when we're riding than when I'm on the ground. But I think it's because we're moving a lot faster so he has to keep up. When we go camping or to the beach he totally leaves other dogs/people alone.
I have been thinking about strapping the camera to a helmet, I would just be worried that it would need to be really secure because it would suck if it fell off. They actually have helmet cameras, I totally want one!
I love how elegant Cairo is, even from behind! You can tell her head was up and her nose was down (as opposed to surly horses that stick it straight out) and those ears were pricked. How pretty!
And I could listen to clopping hooves and creaking leather all day.
She's a really good girl. I like the fact that we can go out by ourselves, go on busy roads and into neighborhoods and she doesn't spook or get weird about things. I have a friend who is pretty much afraid to ride and I called her because the trails back a barn that is now empty, but there was a horse there. She's like "You went by yourself?!" Of course I did! All of my friends are out camping, and this girl would have to lunge her horse for 30mins before we left so of course I went by myself.
And yeah - my saddle is so freaking noisy!
