I tried, Ginny

Postby luvmypitties » November 28th, 2006, 3:20 pm

I went and dropped my sister off at her fried's house last week and there was a bunch of cats outside. The owners of the house said they just showed up and they have been feeding them. There was one they said that was pregnant. So I said I would take her. I saw her, she looked to be the size of a 4 month old kitten but was an adult by her teeth. So I knew that she would have complications with birthing the kittens. So I took her home and kept her in a seperate room. I took her to get tested and she turned out to be positive for Leukemia. The kindest thing I could do for her was put her down. the threat of infection was too great in a rescue situation. I am so sorry Ginny. you will be missed!!! I tried to save your life! I tried to get you a home where you would be loved forever...instead you had a temporary home for no more than a week. I hope you experienced enough love during that time to make up for the lost time! I am sorry! Rest in peace my little purr bucket!

Run free sweet Ginny.

Thanks guys. It was a hard day yesterday.

I am not worried about my cats getting the disease from playing with her under the doorway. So now they ahev to be tested in 6 weeks. I pray that they too dont have the disease.
