Menu Foods Inc. has expanded its extensive pet food recall to include one brand of Roundy's pet food sold at the Milwaukee grocer's stores throughout the Midwest.

Menu Foods is expanding the recall to include products that may have been cross-contaminated by other products that contain wheat gluten tainted with melamine. Menu Foods of Canada has recalled numerous brands of dog and cat foods because of pet illnesses and deaths after eating contaminated products.

The list of products being recalled has been growing ever since the initial North American recall was issued March 16.

The latest addition adds more than 200 dog and pet food products to the recall list, including one brand of Roundy's cat food. Roundy's 3-ounce cans of flaked fish/shrimp, with sell-by dates of Dec/06/09 to Jan/24/10 and a UPC code of 11150-78478 are now included in the recall. It is the only Roundy's brand included in the recall to date.

Roundy's Supermarkets Inc. said it began pulling the product from the shelves of all Pick 'n Save, Copps and Rainbow stores Thursday. The grocer said customers who may have this product at their homes should return it to their nearest Pick 'n Save, Copps or Rainbow store for exchange or full refund.

Milwaukee-based Roundy's Supermarkets Inc. operates 155 retail grocery stores under the Pick 'n Save, Copps and Rainbow Foods banners in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois.
