Breed Recognition Game

Keep yourself busy at work!

It's difficult because some of the pics they chose are just the head, or a puppy, or the dog has clothing or a muzzle on.

But I actually got 143 out of 157 correct, which is 91%! I'm shocked I did that well. :)

That was kind of cool. Some of them were easy based on the choices they gave. I wouldn't have gotten several of them if I hadn't known what all the other options were. I got 150 out of 157 or 95.54%.

It was interesting to see how many random breeds I know, and I thought about a lot of different dogs while I was doing it. I've picked up several breeds through flyball, actually.

I got the Silky Terrier wrong because the picture was awful. Crap and I forget the other one I got wrong, but I got 155 out of 157, 98.73%. It was exactly like my Breed ID class, except we didn't get multiple choice.

I had to stop after 102. I didn't think it would ever end. But I had 92%.

Ooh.. something else to kill my time sitting at home with soon to be momma dog!

The Akita..... it looks like a finish spitz... even if I were to picture a shaved Akita.. still looks like a finish spitz.. think there's a mistake there.

And the "collie" is a sheltie... the size.. stop..etc. But no sheltie choice..

I was close. Two off. Still fun. :) Think full body shots are easier.. if you can't see a tail then sometimes it changes what you might guess the breed as..

Though I Think shelter workers should take quizes like this on a regular basis. Maybe breed clubs could do pictures of dogs that they've had come through rescue as an educational thing for shelters to learn the different ways that their breeds can look.. with tails and with out if it's a docked breed.. etc.

That's an akita...just a more true, Japanese version than what we usually see here in the US. Little triangle eyes and less coat/bone. Finnish spitz have much smaller muzzles and bigger eyes...

96.83%

I wish they would say which ones are wrong, I was doing it quickly and did not pay much attention to the ones I got wrong. This is a long-ass quiz!
