Happy Birthday, Indy.

Today, you are nine years old!

I remember the day we took you home from the vet. You were a tiny hairless ball of fat belly and little spindly bent legs and ENORMOUS worried green eyes.

I remember giving you all your meds and taking you into the bedroom for a nap with me. When we woke up and you stretched then smiled at me, you stole my heart forever. I never knew dogs could smile like that.

Today is a fitting date for your birthday. You are my silly man. You never fail to make me laugh, even when I don't want to or can't.

Happy birthday, fat boy. And here's to many more!

I've never heard a better description of Indy's personality. Waaaay back when we (at the vet clinic) saw Indy and tried to figure out a birthday for him, we joked that April Fool's Day would be perfect. Little did I know, LOL. :noWay:
