Pit Bulls with Lymphoma

Here is where we can discuss canine cancers and treatment options to create a support system for those dealing with the disease.

This is a call for help from the pit bull and cancer dog communities.
Up to date, we (the Canine Hereditary Cancer Consortium) have a few blood DNA samples for our research from pit bulls with lymphoma. Due to this being my heart breed, and having a personal connection to a few dogs who have lost their battle with lymphoma, I'm REALLY pulling to try to use pit bulls as one of our targeted breeds for this type of cancer, but I really need at least 4 more pit bulls with lymphoma to donate blood to the study in order to try to convince the researchers that this is a good breed to use.

If anyone here has a pit bull with lymphoma or knows one who may be willing to help with cancer research by simply having a small amount of blood drawn and sent to our lab, please let me know OR send them my contact info: elissa.boguslawski@vai.org

Can you PM the address to me, please? I'll ask Sepps Oncologist to send a sample.

Thank you so much Christine and Sepp!

Please get the word out if you know other families affected.
