Kristin & Toby

Postby pitbullmamaliz » June 15th, 2011, 5:05 pm

After struggling with inexplicable behavioral problems, Toby has started to have obvious physical problems. While he has been quite lazy for the last few months, he is now extremely lethargic, uninterested in food, and stretches and sleeps for most of the day.

I took him the vet as soon as we could get in and while his test for Lyme/Ehrlichia/ANA/Heartworms came back negative, due to the extremely high incidence of Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever locally already this year, our vet went ahead and put him on Doxycycline. While his appetite picked up at first, he is back to sleeping constantly, glazed eyes with heavy eyelids, and being generally uninterested in food. We are going back to the vet today for more tests.

An office visit costs $48 and any tests on top of that are more. I am doing everything I can for Toby, it breaks my heart to see him so ill. Any help would be incredibly appreciated. I work as many hours as I can get at work, but financially it’s an extraordinarily tight time for me.
