Yes, we use Missing Link as an ongoing supplement (well, we have recently re-started using it, we stopped for a while.) We also use Solid Gold Sea Meal on an ongoing basis. Both are pretty inexpensive, even for three dogs, and then I don't have to worry about nutritional gaps.

We use the one with glucosamine.

Oh, yes, goopy eye season here in WI too. One gets goop and crust from pollen allergies (really bad right now), the other is an AB with a wrinkley face so he's always goopy. Just keep wiping it up. If it looks brown or the skin gets infected, you can probably just call the vet and get away without a visit fee. Good luck!
