How old??

Food, Fitness and how to keep them healthy.

Postby msvette2u » February 11th, 2006, 1:35 pm

We got Lambie in mid-December, and surmised she was around 3-4 mos. old then...she has now lost her baby teeth in the front but still has baby canine teeth. I'm sure they'll be falling out any day and her new adult canines will be coming in.
How can we tell how old she is?? This is important to me, because I want to spay her at just around 6mos.

I thought puppies lost their baby teeth at around 3 or 4 months. Send her to me & I will tell you how old she is. :|

Upper and lower insicor teeth begin to fall out about 4 months of age. Sometimes late in the 3 month age bracket. Canines and premolars are lost during the 5-6 month period as a general rule.

That's what I was thinking, thanks so much! When her canines come in she'll go for her surgery.
