Cottage Cheese

Postby SLS61185 » November 29th, 2009, 10:40 pm

Is it good for dogs? If so, how much is okay for one to eat at a time? I have half a container left over from making dinner and would like to give some to Patch.

:| I give Dar about 1/2 cup every other day, on top of his dog food. I HOPE it doesn't hurt him, LOl...
the other day, I break an egg over the kibble...

I'd start off slow,,,,,,,,,

I give Ino about 1/4 to 1/2 cup depending on if he gets yoghurt with it or not. It has never upset his stomach and he does not usually do well if foods are too rich. He really enjoys the boost to his kibble :D !!

It is fine for dogs. I give a tablespoon to my guys with their meal for some extra protein

I give mine a dollop with their food every so often...they love it!

I remember seeing several cancer diets that had cottage cheese in them, and I've given it to my dogs before, but not in large servings (only because I didn't have that much left over  ), so it should be safe. I don't know how much/how little to allow in one serving. I guess I would want to start with small servings to make sure no food allergies pop up - maybe 1/4 cup to start? :| The dogs love it.
