Rally for Miss Luna Goose

Post your pics and vids here.

Luna has been struggling a bit with impulse control and resource guarding. We've implemented some strict house rules and started going to an intermediate manners class-- really a class to amp up distractions, duration, and to clean up cues and improve teamwork. She and I are also preparing to start work on her Rally Novice title in February.

This was from our first practice session (first 8-10 seconds, we were out of the frame and I forgot to edit that out  ):

She and I had some class homework (prompt response to cues in new environments) and we needed to work on settling into a new place since the show is just under 3 weeks away and it's an overnighter! We went to the college campus and had a blast. After we settled in with some eye contact, she was a rock star!!

The fountain made a lot of noises and was pretty scary. But she wasn't afraid of heights:

Now we just have to work on "down" on different textured surfaces. She wasn't happy about it on the regular concrete. CERTAINLY not happy about it on brick.

Nevermind on that rally. Stupid f*cking BSL. Gotta decide whether to take River or just not go at all. At least the hotel is refundable.

I'm going to go try not to cry now.

She looks really great! Where is the rally competition?

Thanks!

It's in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. They flat out ban pit bull types (definitions are totally vague and include whether the owner just thinks the dog is a pit bull), and for AmStaffs competing in AKC events, they require 3 generations of pedigree, tattooed registration number, etc. Bummed and angry.

But River's title run a couple of months ago looks better than I remembered it feeling while I was in there. lol

I'm thinking of going ahead and entering her in advanced and seeing how we do. We have 2.5 weeks. That video up there was at almost 5pm, we'd been there since 9 or 10am, and had chilled out in the hotel lobby aaaalllll day. She was zonked. But after a rough start, she got there. This time we're staying in the hotel where the show is being held, so she can get used to it in the evening, and chill out in the room while we're not competing.
