Theme Songs!!

Keep yourself busy at work!

Postby SisMorphine » February 12th, 2009, 12:07 am

My theme song changes quite often. The following song I once associated with a specific break up, but now upon listening to it it doesn't have anything to do with that break up . . . but frankly describes every other "relationship" I've ever had.

"smurf Was I" - Jenny Owen Youngs

What's your current theme song?
"All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another." -Anatole France

I can't stop listening to "Enemy" by Sevendust. I love the groove, aggression, and Lajon's voice is awesome.

Step up to me - Step up to me
You wanna be a big time player - it's not to be
Look at all the snide ass - actin like a wise ass
I'll smurf up your face and you'll never look back

Chorus:
So when you fall to the ground
And finally get back to reality
And no one at all is around
So tell me how does it feel to be the enemy?

Step up to me - Step up to me (x2)
Step up to me - Step up to me
You wanna be a big time player - it’s not to be

Look at your face - look at your name
It's funny you’re a loser with only yourself to blame
Cut your smurfing hair now - scared of all the stare downs
You wanna be like me cause it's real
So you steal on your way to fame
Never gonna be - never gonna see
Your name in lights - you can always dream what ‘cha could've been
Clean up my crap - you look like a dick
Step to unemployment - step

(Chorus x2)

Step! Step up to me – step up
You’re the enemy!

Now that's how it's done.

"Theme" song for me would be Amazed by The Offspring....it spoke to me a long ,long time ago

At the minute I play Rob Zombie "Dragula"every day if I can...its a real sing along song that makes NO SENSE whatsoever... its just so bouncy and loud and fabulous I love it

Dead I am the one, Exterminating son
Slipping through the trees, strangling the breeze
Dead I am the sky, watching angels cry
While they slowly turn, conquering the worm

Dig through the ditches,
Burn through the witches
I slam in the back of my
Dragula

Dig through the ditches,
Burn through the witches
I slam in the back of my
Dragula

Dead I am the pool, spreading from the fool
Weak and want you need, nowhere as you bleed
Dead I am the rat, feast upon the cat
Tender is the fur, dying as you purr

Dig through the ditches,
Burn through the witches
I slam in the back of my
Dragula

Dig through the ditches,
Burn through the witches
I slam in the back of my
Dragula

Do it baby, Do it baby
Do it baby, Do it baby
Burn like an animal

Dead I am the knife, dig into the skin, knuckle crack the bone, twenty one to win.
Dead I am the dog, hound of hell you cry
Devil on your back,

I can never die (x 12)

Do it baby, Do it baby
Do it baby, Do it baby
Burn like an animal
Dont breed or buy while shelter animals die!

I recently came out of a period of almost a year where I desperately wanted to get pregnant, and was looking for a church to join. Neither of those are bad things, just VERY out of character for me. Then, a few months back, hubby and I were talking and he told me he wanted to get out of Spokane (the city where we both grew up and only moved back b/c his dad got very sick) as soon as reasonably possible. I got a huge smile on my face and it felt like someone took a huge load off my back. I woke up a week later and realized that I didn't want a baby anymore. I think I felt like if I had to live here I might as well hunker down, fit in, and start poppin' out babies. :crazy2:

Soooo.... lately this has become my theme song. I :heartbeat: Maroon 5!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0d-Emu7h_nA

"Must Get Out"

I've been the needle and the thread
Weaving figure eights and circles round your head
I try to laugh but cry instead
Patiently wait to hear the words you've never said

Fumbling through your dresser drawer forgot what I was looking for
Try to guide me in the right direction
Making use of all this time
Keeping everything inside
Close my eyes and listen to you cry

[Chorus:]
I'm lifting you up
I'm letting you down
I'm dancing til dawn
I'm fooling around
I'm not giving up
I'm making your love
This city's made us crazy and we must get out

This is not goodbye she said
It is just time for me to rest my head
She does not walk she runs instead
Down these jagged streets and into my bed

When I was
Fumbling through your dresser drawer forgot what I was looking for
Try to guide me in the right direction
Making use of all this time
Keeping everything inside
Close my eyes and listen to you cry

[Chorus]

There's only so much I can do for you
After all of the things you put me through

[Chorus x2]

I'm not giving up
I'm making your love
This city's made us crazy and we must get out
"I'm not all bad but I'm a faithful sinner."

Queens of the Stone Age constantly plays in my head... Go with the flow, In the fade, Into the hollow, You would know... Gah.

That's when that stupid Katy Perry song "Hot and cold" isn't driving me crazy. I cannot get it outo f my head until I listen to it. For that it has to play at work or on TV cause I don't have it. :crazy2:
