This really slows him down, with plain dry kibble, watered kibble, even kibble with mix-ins added...

Have you ever seen these in stainless steel? Inara breaks out on her chin if she eats from plastic.

The link on their site wasn't working for the metal ones, but they do have them now. I have the plastic, but I want to buy a metal one. Found them on sale at Amazon...

Yeah, I was a bit shocked. My parents got me the plastic one...but it was less than $20. But double that for metal? :nono: Sheesh.

An alternative to the spendy bowls is putting a large rock in the bowl or gluing in some tennis balls-

I have gotten in the habit of soaking his food so no need for a special bowl right now, but i have always thought they were really good ideas!

I have to say, I used the rocks, tennis balls, and cookie sheet method with my old hoover dog...and it NEVER worked as well as this bowl does. I :heartbeat: this bowl. I really do. Of course I'm not in love with the plastic, but I put up with that so I can breathe easier about him eating too fast. (My old dog, Elwood, would regularly hoover up his food and then choke and wheeze...it was awful).
