I was cracking up the whole time I watched that video....that is Ino on our walks (he does not bark at wildlife, but he takes an interest in anything that we encounter that moves)!!! His newest thing is playing with snakes...he picks them up and once they "musk" in his mouth, he drops them (he does hurt them) and he also loves to pick up toads and puts them fully in his mouth and once they pee, he spits them out and slobbers (also not hurting them)...you would think that would deter him....nope!! It is proving to not be the easiest behavior to curb...he is obsessed, but I do need to find a way to get him to stop so one day, he does not end up picking up a poisonous one. Yesterday he was trying to pick up a garter snake (that is mostly what we encounter on the walks- those, redbellies & ringnecks) that was larger than usual and once he dropped it, it chased him for a second (luckily he was leashed, since we were coming out of the woods towards the apt) so I pulled him away. Once he spots one in a specific place, he rechecks for it every time we pass it for about a week!!! He also dramatically flinches if his breathing (or anything for that matter) moves blades of grass while he is searching for snakes...he's a nut!!!
