Oooh! This sounds like a great idea! We're too crazy busy right now (opening a shop and working my regular job and taking care of everyone
) to actually schedule sleep, much less plan anything else. Training gets fit in where it gets fit in-- not ideal, but that's what we have now. I'd love to keep hearing how it goes, though-- distance learning is really up my alley these days, and if the clicker trainer I've connected with doesn't get her facility up and running soon, I'm going to need something.
I manage a foreign language lab at our university and things like Skype and Google Wave (RIP, G Wave; you had so much potential
) really are revolutionizing the way we teach and learn, and it's especially wonderful with language learning, incorporating seeing, hearing, speaking-- seems like a great idea for dog training, as 80% of a dog training class is watching and learning from that, and getting feedback from being watched. So much cool stuff out there. I'm pretty sure our lab director did some conferencing with skype for a class... I'll have to check with her on how it went...
