Elissa, Thats one of the ones I listen to regularly throughout the day!
Thanks Tina! I have much more I'll be posting eventually, including some custom color (not pink) I've been working on.
Its not so much thhat its custom, it all starts with commercially available dyes, but I'm experimenting with ways of finishing to get different qualities from the color. One of the things I'm wanting to achieve is kind of a beat up aged look. Another thing would be using a variant finishing process that allows dye to penetrate more fully in some areas, less in others, or even just burnishing by hand and purposely burnishing unevenly. Of course all this work great on very tradditional colors, you know like the "saddlery color wheel/rainbow". If you havent heard of that chart, it consists primarily of tans and browns, like chestnut, whiskey, coffee, walnut, mahogany, russet, honey, wheat... heck, some colors even border on red! but not pink.
Dont those sound like warm inviting colors? Just say whiskey, and then say pink. Which one sounds better?
Later!
