Trouble has Crossed the Bridge

Postby hugapitbull » March 16th, 2011, 8:30 pm

I will post a proper memorial to our angel later, but it would be unkind to not inform the folks who have stuck beside us through the journey that started November 26, 2008.

The evaluation was that we had done all we could do for her. We let her go at 5:45. She left us cancer free and tail wagging, 10 days shy of her 28th amputation anniversary. I cannot imagine life without her.

Thank you all for your kind words and good wishes.

Trouble was a fighter, as you know. 28th months post amputation is almost unheard of. Trouble's story is one that I will continue to share with everyone I know when it comes to cancer. I think that Trouble's story is the reason that Skyye's owners chose to do chemo. I'm bummed that they never tried to contact you but Skyye is doing very well and I thank you so much for sharing Trouble's story so that I could instill some hope in other people going through this.

Losing a friend is never easy, I wish I had something amazing to say that could take the pain away. Give Duke lots of squishes for me, as I think I recall he was Trouble's protector. I'm sure as you grieve he will too.
