This is Mr. Sunny!!

Postby HappyChick » March 9th, 2011, 6:50 pm

Sunny is a victim of a landlord who is biased against pit bull-type dogs. Sunny's former owner saved him from a very abusive home a couple of months ago. (They live in a town that is well known as having a major dog fighting problem.) Sunny's owner told her landlord that she'd taken in Sunny and everything appeared to be fine. Then out of the blue, the landlord demanded that Sunny be taken off the premises or the family would be evicted.

Sunny is a very handsome 9 month old American Staffordshire Terrier weighing approximately 50 lbs. He is neutered, housetrained, crate trained, received his rabies vax and will be UTD on all his vaccinations before being adopted into a loving home. He is great at basic commands (sit, shake, down, come, watch me, drop it, and off) and has good recall. Sunny gets along smashingly with all of my dogs. Sunny is also fabulously sweet with young children. Sunny is not hyper; but he is an active dog and loves to play, play, play! Each day that Sunny is here he shows me more of his wonderful personality, and it's gets better and better every day!! It is very easy to fall in love with this handsome, sweet, intelligent guy! Anyone interested in adopting Sunny should contact me at epitomerescue@gmail.com. Please feel free to ask me any questions.

Thank you!

Just a quick update - I posted in the cancer section, Sunny is staying with me as a part of my family now. I am so happy to have him too!! He is a GREAT dog! He does a fabulous job with all the foster dogs and is a huge help with socializing/teaching them. I'm slightly amazed at just how great Sunny is with all the other dogs, including my own dogs. Well, as they say everything happens for a reason. :)
