Stone is looking for a home!

Stone is a 7 month old pit bull...recently rescued from certain euthanasia (he was "too aggressive" in the shelter). He had been born into rescue, and was adopted early on...the owner then didn't have time for him, kept him in a crate 18+ hours a day, and instead of turning him back to the rescue, he dumped him at the shelter. He's now with me...and gets to run free with his new friends for hours on end, rather than sitting in a crate all day. He's a big goofy puppy...rather like a lab puppy: all tongue and feet.

He's good with other dogs, but he won't be pushed around easily. He does chase cats, but playfully. He adores people and has good manners. Stone rides in the car well, is crate trained, and walks well on leash.

stone is still up for adoption...since we've discovered that he's mostly blind due to juvenile cataracts, it might be a while before he finds a forever home. We're currently raising money for him to have surgery on his eyes.

To keep up with what's going on with him...check out his new BLOG!

Not quite...but it's a much bigger bite out of it than I expected!

Initial consult: $95-155
Retina test: $300
Surgery (both eyes) $2600-2900

This vet gives 20% for rescues...

We'll be setting up a consult when they open on Monday...and we'll go from there! :D

WOW! I remember my dogs were lucky enough to have you as their Secret Santa, and you sent them homemade treats. YUMMY!! (We all say, because you know I tasted them.)

That was a lot of cooking you did for the fundraiser. GREAT JOB!! :)
