Recognizing Bloat- Video

Food, Fitness and how to keep them healthy.

I saw this posted on facebook and thought it could be helpful. I've never personally seen bloat, so I can see the educational value of the video. And the dog is fine, by the way. =)

Wow. Great video. That poor dog. I'm so glad he's okay.

often the dog just can't settle or sit still, they move because they are always uncomfortable.

I'm not sure they actually vomit vs. just bring up saliva. In any event one symptom I know is "wretching and producing little or nothing"...

If you look at the dog (any dog with this) and think about what the posture means, it looks like the abdomen or back is painful.

handy video for sure.

Any time a dog acts this out of character (with *any* symptoms, not just those of bloat), without some anxiety related issue (fireworks etc) connected, in my opinion it warrants at least a call if not a trip to the local ER vet.

I say this because its amazing how many people miss stuff just like on that video
I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day, tomorrow doesn't look good either.
