Treat donations?

Everything that doesn't fit anywhere else!

Have any of you ever had success contacting any companies and asking for treat donations? The prison dog program I work with can't afford to buy good treats for the inmates to train with, so they have to use broken up Milkbones. They don't break well, so the dogs get fat from eating lots of them. Last night I took over a bunch of sample size bags of high-end kibbles so at least they'll have those as well. But I'd really love if I could convince a company like Zukes or Natural Balance or Charlee Bears or somebody like that to donate some (a lot???) of treats for the program. But I've never written any letters like that. Any suggestions?

Just call and see what they say. We got a lot of donations when we did the bull-ympics, we just called, told them about the event and went from there.

Definitely check with Natural Balance. They donated a bunch of samples for an event the rescue I used to work with put on one time. All I did was go on their website and email someone. They gave us samples for a flyball tournament once too.

I'd give them all a call...maybe NB would donate those little dog food rolls that they make?

I don't know if Kong is still making training treats, but we used to get some Kong tots from them at Fidos when they made them
