Hello!! I'm new here!! My name is Carrie and I have been a PitBull owner for 3 years and I have been through a lot in my 3 years and have learned even more. I want to help donate some of my time to what I deem a VERY worthy cause by getting involved with shelters/rescues, so I 'm open and willing to any suggestions on which ones in WNY I should look out for and which I should avoid.

I have 2 dogs: Ernie my 1 year old golden-poodle mix and Roxy my 2 year old American Pitbull Terrier that we rescued form our local SPCA.

I also have 2 cats: Tibby and Slate who continously keep me on my toys through their very opposite eating disorders (obesity and anorexia) even though they are only 3 years old...but they are more dog like than cat like in their behaviors.

I spend most of my free time hanging with my pups and re-modeling my house with my hubby.

I'm excited to join :D 8)

Welcome! We have several New Yorkers on this board who can help point you in the right direction, but you might get a better response if you repost your question in the Rescue section of the board. :)

Also, just as a heads up, your first several posts will have to be approved - we've had a problem with spammers so unfortunately it affects even the regular posters. So bear with us, and we'll get you taken care of as quickly as possible. :)
