Breed guesses for Hazel please!

I'm really stuck on what to list her as

She is about 12/13 pounds and approx. 12 - 14 weeks old. She has some rottie markings but her coat and overall size contradict those, she is built a little bit like a pitty pup but clearly doesn't look like one in the face. she also has long legs. Help!

I also thought maybe rat terrier mix but I think she is bigger than one would be at this age. I think??

I thought rat or fox terrier too. Are her back legs wonky or is she just standing oddly?

Some of those Rat Terriers can be pretty big. That was my first guess!

Ok, here goes a stupid question. How can you tell the difference between a naturally bobbed tail and a docked one? Pardon me and my tail ignorance.

Natural bobs are usually tapered at the end...the verterbrae don't abruptly end like you'll find with a dock job. Often natural bobs are kinked or hooked too.

That's an obvious dock job to me...it's long and you can see the abrupt end of the vertebrae. You can often see a scar at the end too, depending on how good of a job they did when it was docked. A vet will pinch some skin, and put in a stitch so they don't have a scar. Homemaded jobbies will often have scars...since they just clip 'em off, or put on metal rings or rubber bands until the tail dies off.

The black tri color and irish spotting pattern is really, really, really common in many breeds...and smooth coats are dominant...so she could be just about anything! But with that tail, I'm going to believe that at least mom was a docked breed.

I'm obviously no expert on bobbed tails but her picture looks exactly like that 3rd picture on the top.

you'll be able to feel the vertebrae...easier than looking. If the tail comes to an abrupt stop...it's docked. If it tapers, it's a NBT. NBTs are not terribly common...and are dangerous to breed for so most breeders (good or bad), dont' breed for it
