I switched Toby from Blue Buffalo Chicken and Rice to Nature's Variety, Instinct, Duck formula ( http://www.naturesvariety.com/Instinct/dog/kibble/duck )
I was hoping a grain free kibble would help with his alleged allergies. It was worth a try, anyway. He has done very well on this food and really likes it. However his poops are more pellet like and very small, but the alarming part is that they are VERY solid. I think the Montmorillonite Clay may have something to do with that. He doesn't seem to have any trouble actually passing the stools, so am I just being concerned for nothing? I also read that the citric acid if soaked could cause bloat, so is that a concern if I were to soak his food?
