Michelle, Demo & Connor

Postby pitbullmamaliz » October 22nd, 2010, 10:56 pm

As we all know, Michelle and Demo's dog, Connor, needs ACL surgery. To add insult to injury, Michelle was laid off several months ago and nobody has been smart enough to snatch her up as an employee yet. Connor's surgery is next Wednesday and they could really use some help with the costs:

The surgery is $1800
use of the surgery room, anesthetic, testing, etc, $600 - $750

Post surgery rehab:
Initial consult is $85
hydro therapy is $50 per session
light therapy is $28

They're probably only going to do hydro. They recommend 3x per week for 4 weeks, then 2x per week for the next 8 weeks. So that's about $1500 by the end of all it.

They are trying to get an account set up with the PT place but in the meantime, they've started a ChipIn page: http://connorkneesurgery.chipin.com/con ... -and-rehab

If you have a few extra dollars and want to donate, that would be great! Any amount would be welcome.

I finally heard back from them - well, I called and they said they had put a not on the folder for our appointment. Oops! Kinda needed that before the appointment! lol

Anyway, the place is called The Animal Rehabilitation Center of Rochester, http://rehabpets.com/ phone number is 585.663.4262. You just need Connor's name and my name. Ask to speak to Carrie.

Our first appointment is Monday.

Inside me is a thin woman trying to get out. I usually shut the bitch up with a martini.
