Sis, Teeny wasn't constantly shaking her head when she had the hematoma? Most of the dogs I have seen with them just cannot stop shaking and that just makes things worse.

She has been having her ears bother her and I've been medicating (and thought they were clear), but she still shakes her head some. I don't think it is bothering her much because I would not have noticed it at all except I like to play with her ears

Shelby had an aural hematoma last year that was just a little section of her ear and the vet had us just leave it, but gave medication to help stop the head flapping, and it just reabsorbed. No cauliflower ear either, actually.
